Scholarships

Through the vision of Rotary International to improve education and understanding throughout the world, the Rotary Club of Lillington provides scholarships to high school graduates to assist them in furthering their education in four-year colleges.

The scholarships are primarily funded through the Rotary Club of Lillington’s annual Cornelius Harnett Charity Gala, held in the Spring of each year.

There are two types of scholarships:

  1. Two $2000 4-year college scholarships awarded each year to seniors from Western Harnett High School or Central Harnett High School who will be attending 4-year colleges.
  2. One $4000 4-year college scholarship named the Reid Ross Scholarship awarded only every every four years to a senior from Western Harnett High School or Central Harnett High School who will be pursuing a degree in education at a 4-year college.

If you are a student from Western Harnett High School or Central Harnett High School and are interested in applying for one of our scholarships, check out our pages about scholarship requirements, how to apply, and the forms for requesting annual funding once you have started school.
