The Rotary Club of Lillington hosted Governor Mack Parker for a visit at our August 4, 2011 meeting where Gov. Parker delivered the new Rotary International banner to our club. The banner has the new Rotary theme and logo for Kalyan Banerjee’s presidency this year of, “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”.

Gov. Parker talked to us about the three major areas of focus this year; family, continuity and change. He also made a point of inviting everyone to this year’s District Conference which will be held in New Bern, NC on April 22, 2012.

Mr. Parker has an impressive list of accomplishments with Rotary and in his personal life. He has served on a number of boards, has been self-employed for more than 22 years, has a BS from NC Agriculture & Technical State University in Greensboro, and an MBA in finance.  He is married to Wanda and has two daughters.

Mack has promised to help us grow our club through the districts new membership committee. We all look forward to working with him in his year as District Governor.
