Take a Kid to a Ballgame
Filed under: Club News, Events, Projects, Rotary District 7710
What do you get with 8 kids and 5 adults? A trip to a Durham Bulls baseball game!
As part of a Rotary District 7710 sponsored event, Take a Kid to a Ballgame provides for any club in the district to sponsor a child, or a group of children to attend a Durham Bulls ballgame, complete with tickets and a picnic dinner. Seats are right on the left-field line offering a wonderful view of the park and the game.
This year, our 6th year in participating, we partnered with the Dunn Police Athletic League (PAL) to bring 8 children from PAL along with three guardians and two Rotarians to this year’s event.
The kids had a blast, the Bull’s won handily, and at the end of the game there were fireworks!
