Cathey Clifton, Librarian for the Lillington branch of the Harnett County Libraries, presented a note-worthy speech on May 27th on the impact of the Library and how it meets the needs of the Town of Lillington’s citizens. She also spoke about how the current economy has impacted the ability of the county libraries to function and reach an ever-growing population.

Each year, our Club donates $20 towards a book in the name of each of our guest speakers. Last year, the donations were not tallied. So this year, a total was calculated for the past two years and a check was presented to Cathey for $500 towards books by President-Elect Karen Kratz. Cathey expressed gratitude on behalf of the Library.
